We’re into March: the month where we celebrate the first day of Spring, St. Patrick’s Day and Pi Day (as in circumference-over-diameter, not the thing with a crust), but before the month degenerates into a frenzy of spilt Guinness, daffodils and maths homework, it’s relieving to know that there’s still plenty of free fun to fill your diary.

Nadja’s Song at Anthony Burgess Foundation
This modern opera adaptation of surrealist writer Andre Breton’s 1928 book Nadja shies away from the analytical approach of its source material and instead focuses on a giving a voice to Breton’s titular broken muse. Commissioned by the Bergen National Opera, it was written by rising talents Lucy Armstrong and David Spittle, with Armstrong providing the piano accompaniment to Ingvild Schultze-Florey’s mezzo-soprano.
