It feels like these autumn months are whizzing by, and as we rapidly approach Halloween Season, there are plenty of goings on around the city that won’t cost you a thing.
From 90s takeover parties at Crazy Pedro’s to a cracking open mic jam at Stage and Radio – here’s our rundown for the five best free things to do in Manchester this week…
This Autumn sees the return of Arts and Health Week, which is now in its 5th year, running from Mon 6 Oct – Sun 12 Oct. The week is all about using creativity to improve mental health and well-being.
Created by leading Greater Manchester arts and health charity, Arc, the organisation will be opening its doors for a packed week of free activities, including creative workshops, talks and exhibitions, hosted both on and offline.
Kick off the weekend at renae this Friday night and check out the second volume of F.U.N., which is all about letting go, connecting, and moving together to the sound of carefully selected chaos.
Curated by Atiké, co-founder of Me Gusta Collective and Green Island Festival, this isn’t just another club night. It’s a space to breathe, to move, and to feel free — free from daily stress, from pressure, from anything but the music and the people around you.
For one night only, Crazy Pedros is hosting a Hennessy takeover, transforming the venue into a 90s-style house party. Guests can enjoy exclusive Hennessy cocktails, including the Henny & Hooch Boilermaker, Hennessy Ginger Mojito, and Hennessy Pineapple.
Along with the drinks, there’ll be photo walls, props, fly-posters, merch drops, and interactive installations. Music will come from DJ G2 and Crazy Pedro’s resident DJs, while photographer Sean Ware captures the night.
If you’ve yet to check out the weekly GreensKeepers Jam, which takes place every Friday night at Stage and Radio, then see this as your sign. This is a proper wholesome community event filled with some of the city’s best up-and-coming musical talent.
