A thrilling and incredibly poignant new drama that explores the mind of a soldier following the horrors of World War Two comes to Lowry this week.
Shellshocked comes from the celebrated creative team behind the five-star, multi-award-winning Jesus, Jane, Mother and Me and LASH. The show follows the story of Wesley, and whether the encounters the young soldier faces upon his return can help save his mind in a post-war world.
Following a hugely successful sold-out Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Shellshocked is a powerful new play by Leeds-born playwright Philip Stokes, recognised by the British Library as a culturally important playwright of the 21st Century.
Starring Jack Stokes, winner of the Adelaide Critics Circle Award 2023, and Lee Bainbridge, previously in Heroin(e) For Breakfast (★★★★★, Sunday Telegraph), Shellshocked is presented by Richard Jordan Productions, King Brilliant Theatre, 412, Lawrence Batley Theatre and Harrogate Theatre.
Shellshocked comes to Lowry Thu 30 Oct – Sat 1 Oct. Book your tickets below.
