This Easter holiday, Jodrell Bank charts course for another springtime in space with an action-packed programme of family-friendly activities, from immersive Space Dome shows and hands-on creative sessions to outdoor discovery trails and interactive experiences across its scenic grounds.

Throughout the break, visitors embark on Mission: Explore!, a popular stamp-collecting trail that sends families on an entertaining journey across the site in search of hidden discoveries. Pick up a space passport from the ticket booth and uncover fascinating facts about the Solar System along the way, with completed trails entered into a weekly prize draw.

Back at base, Mission: Create! invites curious cosmonauts to get stuck into a series of hands-on activities exploring life on Earth and beyond. From growing sunflowers to crafting planets, these drop-in sessions run daily and are included with admission, offering plenty of absorbing astronomical excitement to keep young explorers engaged throughout their visit.

Elsewhere, the iconic Lovell Telescope takes centre stage in the daily Discover the Dish sessions, where visitors can get up close to Jodrell Bank’s most famous landmark and learn more about its role in unlocking the secrets of the universe.

Over in the Space Dome, audiences can enjoy a packed programme of breathtaking shows. Ted’s Space Adventure invites families on a dazzling voyage that offers a playful introduction to the Solar System, while older audiences can experience One Step Beyond: A Journey to Mars, a spellbinding exploration of the next frontier in human space travel, narrated by Richard Armitage. A range of additional screenings, including the inteplanetary Great Solar System Adventure, CAPCOM GO! The Apollo Story and We Are Stars, which uncovers the origins of the universe while pondering some of its biggest mysteries, offer endless ways to discover the scientific wonders of the night sky.

As always, visitors can get involved with interactive exhibitions, explore the peaceful arboretum and refuel at one of Jodrell Bank’s cafes between activities.
