This April, the Stoller Hall is set to host a night of conversation with acclaimed poet, playwright, novelist and recording artist, Kae Tempest.

In An Evening with Kae Tempest, which comes to Stoller Hall on Tue 28 Apr, Tempest will be joined by another renowned literary figure, poet and prize-winning writer Lemn Sissay OBE.

Widely regarded as one of Britain’s most compelling contemporary writers, Kae Tempest has built an extraordinary body of work across poetry, music, theatre and fiction. His writing is known for its emotional force, political clarity and close attention to the intimate details of modern life.

In this special event, Tempest will discuss the themes behind his new book, Having Spent Life Seeking. The novel follows Rothko Taylor as they return to their hometown of Edgecliff in search of belonging after fifteen years away, uniting themes that have shaped Tempest’s work across his career, including family, forgiveness, redemption, desire, selfhood and community.

Together, Sissay and Tempest will explore the artist’s creative journey, the return to long-form fiction, and the enduring power of language, performance and storytelling. Audience members will have the opportunity to ask their own questions during a live audience Q&A, and Kae will be signing books after the event.

Audience members can also purchase a discounted copy of Having Spent Life Seeking with their ticket for £14.99 (RRP £18.99). Tickets are on sale now. Book yours below.
