Popular banana pudding bakers Buttercup has confirmed its first-ever standalone site will open at the Great Northern Warehouse this month.

Following a record sell-out on the last day of its residency at Deansgate General Store, Buttercup is set to bring its build-your-own pudding bar concept to the industrial landmark in late September.

The move into a permanent, independent space marks the next chapter for the brand, which launched as a home-based passion project in July 2025 before rapidly growing in popularity.

The new site will be open daily from 10am – 10pm, and will bring brand-new pudding flavours to the counter, alongside signature flavours fans already know and love.

Plus, the opening marks a move into a new breakfast offering, with build-your-own whipped yoghurt bowls which can be finished with a range of healthy toppings including chia seeds and granola.

Buttercup founder, Natasha Black, said: “Behind the scenes, we are working so hard to make our new space feel like home – somewhere our lovely community can come together and feel part of everything we’re building at Buttercup. We can’t wait to welcome everyone at the end of September to see it for themselves, and of course, for plenty of puddings!”
