This late May bank holiday weekend, witness the return of Storytime arts and music festival. Head to Night & Day on Saturday evening for a fantastic line-up of unsigned music, topped off by Canadian dream pop duo Maybelleen (pictured) and supported by a whole host of emerging Mancunian talent. But this is something of a warm-up before Storytime takes over Antwerp Mansion all day Sunday: visual arts, live music, poetry, storytelling, face-painting, organic food stalls and mud-wrestling (yes, really) collide in this colourful celebration of creativity, across indoor and outdoor stages. Grab your sunglasses (or bring an umbrella), tuck into some barbecued grub and explore the stalls or artwork on display. Be sure to head indoors though for headline act, The Fire Beneath The Sea. This Liverpudlian 13-piece play a mash-up of hip-hop, jazz, ska and funk – and it’s bound to knock your socks off.
