The beauty of going to a beer festival is you get to try beers from around the country you might not get in your local pub. The beauty of running a beer festival is you get to know the brewers and can invite them to your own pub for a chat and an insight into their brewing techniques. This is what Port Street Beer House – the brains behind Indy Man Beer Con – have done with one of their favourite breweries from last year’s bumper festival, with Scottish beer masters Cromarty Brewing Co coming to town later this month. A relatively new company that has only been going for two years belies the experience of head brewer Craig who qualified from Heriot Watt and has experience brewing with a range of people from the relatively nearby Cairngorm Brewery to American legends, the Odell Brewing Company. A big fave at PSBH, Craig will be bringing his wealth of knowledge and a heap of beers for you to mull over should have the leaning.
