Solita is set to open a new restaurant on School Lane, Didsbury. The venue had a “soft” opening night last week, and an invitation-only launch party yesterday, but it’s now open to the public. Solita’s current restaurant in the Northern Quarter is renowned for its burgers, which are often voted among the best in Manchester. The new venue will continue with this burger-centric menu, but will also serve a selection of steaks and fish dishes. The site, which was formerly the Italian restaurant Cibo, has 140 seats over two floors, including an outside terrace. The owners of Solita are aiming for further expansions, with a new site in Liverpool coming next year, and a possibly yet another in Manchester.
