Look no further than Odd bar for your Thursday night entertainment. The award-laden Northern Quarter bar is launching a new happy hour this week and it’s all about cocktails. Priced £5/6 and available from 7pm to 11pm, your entertainment comes courtesy of hiphop and RnB connoisseurs, Push It. It’s your chance to really get down with that spiced mojito. We also like the sound of Perfect Passion (gin, Chambord, passion fruit and pineapple) and Solero cocktails (Absolute vanilla, more passionfruit and cream), as well as the self-explanatory Jamaican Ting (Appleton 8yr Rum, Koko Kanu Coconut Rum, Ting). To extend the Thursday fun, Odd have introduced a ‘Boilermaker’ menu, where you can get a beer plus a shot from £5. The concept originated in the USA so the Brooklyn Boiler is an authentic choice (£5, Brooklyn lager + Rebel Yell Bourbon Whiskey). Meanwhile European beer fans will enjoy the Hoe Boiler (£6, Hoegaarden + Clement Creole Shrubb Orange Rhum) or Camden Boiler (£7, Camden Pils + Calle 23 Anejo Tequila). The classiest choice, though, has to be Porter Boiler (£6.50 Guest Porter + Chivas whiskey). Enjoy.

Every Thursday from Thu 9 Apr, Odd bar, 30-32 Thomas Street, Manchester M4 1ER. Tel: 0161 833 0070, 7-11pm, free entry, www.oddbar.co.uk
