This Saturday: Levy Market celebrates Levenshulme Food and Drink Festival

On Saturday (13 June), Levenshulme Market coincides with the first weekend of the Levenshulme Food and Drink Festival, so there’s more reason than ever to head over to Manchester’s finest, foodie suburb. Levy Market’s theme changes each week and traders are focused on food and drink this week to celebrate the festival launch. Goods on offer include West Indian dishes, Polish dumplings, wood fired pizzas, veggie and vegan specials, gourmet ice cream, chocolate truffles and marshmallows – plus fresh produce in the form of sausages, cheese, organic veg and bread. If you like the sounds of this, Levenshulme Food and Drink Festival has plenty to offer over the coming week too. Read our article about what’s going on. Why not take the opportunity to check out local foodie businesses such as dining pop-up The Buttery, Trove Bakery and Case Solved Wines while you are in the area?  You might also be up for tucking into the Global Picnic on Sunday (14 Jun, noon-2pm, Cringle Fields Park). This is a special community event, co-organised by the Market, with free picnic food from around the world.
