Lauded as the best in contemporary theatre, this intimate performance by Chloé Déchery explores friendship, labour, commonality and long-distance relationships. Over the course of the narrative, which includes fragments of conversation, props, music and more, the stage is transformed into the sea, a paining and a cafe and various worlds inbetween. Perfect for those who enjoy the proximity of one writer-performer on stage, Parisian writer-performer and artist Déchery devised the piece with collaborators such as Simone Kenyon, Deborah Pearson and Pedro Inês. Collectively, their voices explore, ironically perhaps (seeing as this remains a solo show), what it means to be together. With her gentle wit and insightful line of enquiry, Déchery is a favourite of British theatre critics. This is among her first solo appearances in the region.
