Band on the Wall is set to host Hackney Colliery Band’s latest display of brass section virtuosity. Signed to London jazz and hip hop label Wah Wah 45s, the nonet’s repertoire spans the full breadth of popular music, with Adele’s ‘Rolling In The Deep’, Nirvana’s ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ and Goldie’s ‘Inner City Life’ all transformed into ska jazz masterpieces. They’re no ordinary covers band, having perfected the knack for filling dancefloors to the sound of lung-busting melodies. Mind On Fire DJ Joe W takes the warm-up slot on the ones and twos.
