Manchester’s best bands are playing intimate shows at the Deaf Institute’s 8th Birthday party which features live sets from Everything Everything and Dutch Uncles. This is a special celebration of Manchester’s favourite small venue, which has played host to bands like the xx and Metronomy. The building was originally created in 1878 as Manchester’s ‘Deaf and Dumb Institute’ (hence the name), before being restored and transformed by the Trof group into one of the country’s most beautiful small venues. The dance hall’s giant glitterball and lecture hall-style seating makes for a unique gig-going experience. So show your appreciation with some of Manchester’s best live acts, plus DJ sets from the likes of DNCN, Marc Riley, You Dig?, So Flute, and more of the venue’s favourite names.
