Manchester’s brewing scene is a healthy one, with the likes of Runaway and Blackjack among others earning the city a solid name in the field. The Shindigger Brewing Co have been about a while, founded in 2013 by two homebrewers from their flat in Fallowfield. George Grant and Paul Delamere have gone on to see their beers distributed across Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds as well as exporting to Hong Kong. Now they’re ready for the next phase, tapping into Manchester’s vibrant events scene with Shindigger Sessions. Kicking off with an old school block party in the city’s Green Quarter, the festivities kick off at midday with sounds curated by Old Granada Studios-based collective Reform Radio: expect Afro, disco and more from Inside Out, sunshine soul from Better Days and a four-deck anything-goes session from Battlestar Mancunia. ShinDigger have selected six of their ten beers to pour on draft, while Red Bank Co are looking after cocktails. No brewery session is complete without quality food, in this case from Nasi Lemak’s Malaysian street food and Red Bank Co’s own stone-baked pizzas. The party continues until the sun goes down!
