So Flute return to Hidden for its second and final summer session. Expect sunshine vibes in the club’s basement from resident Flute selectors Werkha, Danuka, Bolts, Yadava and Baloo spanning Afro, Latin, disco, soul and more.

Didn’t make it to a summery isle this year? Residents Neil Diablo and David Walker promise a tropical music punch of balearic, disco and house alongside a mystery guest.

Sat 20 Aug | Summer Party | Kosmonaut
NQ institute Kosmo throws the doors open at midday for a full-on party, including occasional free alcohol. DJs include Cosmic Baggy, Matt Ward (Piccadilly Records/Wet Play), Lil’ Fee (The Whip), Joy Social, Trash-o-rama, Veba, Pasta Paul and yours truly. Lou and Hannah of Holy Crab will be serving seafood in anticipation of their kitchen takeover of the venue in September. The back bar sees artists and MCs go head to head from 6pm with Illustration Showdown, while free drinks from Kosmo’s new menu will be given out on the hour from 12pm to 6pm -but only for ten minutes at a time. Set your alarms!

Sat 20 Aug | Wet Play with Mori Ra (pictured) | Aatma
Interstellar psych vibes from Wet Play as it treats us to a special selector all the way from Osaka: Mori Ra. Refusing to be held down by genre boxing, Mori Ra collects and re-edits records from all corners of the universe, and is busy cutting dub plates right now for this Manchester date. Expect cosmic vibes and nothing less from the Wet Play crew.

Swing Ting continues to blaze all comers in its path with the one-two punch of record label and club night. This summer jamz session gives the residents an opportunity to stretch their legs, with Platt, Samrai and Joey B on selection, while Fox blesses the crowd on the microphone.
