Grub Food Fair at Alphabet Brewing Co
Grub Food Fair is back offering a snapshot of the city’s street food luminaries. This launch event is hosted by brewery district wunderkinds Alphabet, and marks the first in a series of weekly food fairs in the brewmaker’s yard. Featuring stalls from The Gravy Train Poutine, Oh Mei Dumpling and Honest Crust Wood Fired Pizza, amongst others, this could easily become a belt-busting weekly tradition for the city’s foodies. As it’s a brewery, there’s also a wide rangedrinks available – including their new Twin Peaks inspired brew The Black Lodge.

Tim Peake at MediaCityUK (pictured)
Former International Space Station resident Tim Peake is now firmly back on Earth and this Saturday you can catch him at MediaCity’s piazza. As part of the promotional push for Manchester Science Festival, which takes place later this month, Peake will be answering audience questions about his six months in space from the steps of the piazza. It’s totally free to go see him speak, and – come on – he’s an astronaut.
