Selective Hearing ft Trevino, Hackman + Elsewhere at Joshua Brooks

Selective Hearing is quickly turning into the go-to place for dancefloor led techno and house music in Manchester, as well as promoting a series of events further afield in Leeds and Bath. This Saturday sees Trevino, the not so secret alter ego of liquid funk / drum & bass producer and Soul:r recordings boss, Marcus Intalex, perform. From what started out as a secret side project in jacking house-inspired techno, Marcus Intalex’s Trevino productions are arguably now just as well known as his drum & bass output. With a series of huge releases, including a game-changing 10 inch on NakedLunch earlier this year (which referenced everything from industrial Berlin techno through to wonky UK acid house circa 1988), it catapulted Trevino from side project to one of the most well respected names in contemporary UK techno. This hometown show is set to be something pretty damn special indeed.
