Manchester’s free street food fair, Grub, returns this weekend with a new six week residency at Piccadilly’s Alphabet Brew Co. The weekly Saturday spectacular includes the best street chefs, craft beer selections and DJs. Traders lined up for the next few weekends include Andy Low N’ Slow (best BBQ outside of London), Man Dough Co (Current Manchester doughnut sensation), Smak Grill (proper char grilled kielbasa from Yorkshire), Pollen Bakery (bringing the cruffins that cause queues at their bakery every week), What’s Your Beef (burgers to fight over), Fritto’s deep fried calzone, Scoop Up ice cream sandwiches and many more. Every event is carefully curated to make sure all tastes are catered for and vegans will always be looked after with loads of options across the event. This isn’t the only good news for vegans either as the Grub team are repeating their popular January event, the Grub ExtraVEGANza, a one day pure vegan street food event featuring Gingers Comfort, Fat Annies, Vaso Kitchen, Wallace & Sons and Wholesome Junkies alongside Club Mexicana from London’s Street Feast. The next GRUB Food Fair is Saturday 18 March, then weekly from noon and 10pm until Saturday 22 April. The venue is dog and child friendly until 8pm and the bar takes card but the food traders are cash only. Follow Grub on Twitter for up the the minute info.
