Just opened: Hawaiian restaurant Oké Poké on Northern Quarter’s Church Street
Hawaiian street food cafe Oké Poké has opened in the Northern Quarter serving Poké (pronounced poh-kay); a one bowl, deconstucted sushi concoction (pictured). The classic dish comprises sushi rice, tuna, avocado, carrot, wakame, cucumber, spring onion and sesame seeds, and their Teriyaki Jack is a mixture of black rice, chicken, radish, red cabbage, celery, edamame, coriander, pickled ginger and teriyaki sauce. You can also create your own poké, to be enjoyed alongside their range of juices and smoothies. Pop in to say aloha.
Now open: Oké Poké, 59 Church Street, Manchester, M4 1PD, Mon-Sat 11.30am-9pm, Sun 11.30am-4pm,  www.okepoke.co.uk
