Food waste campaigners The Real Junk Food Project are joining forces with new social enterprise Commonplace to bring a unique dining experience to the city. The first of a Summer series from Commonplace, all of their events will take place on their reconditioned double decker bus. It’s a community space for pop-up, one-off events and this one will house two dinner sittings from The Real Food Junk Project chefs in the setting of Alexandra Park. As usual, they’ll source ingredients which would otherwise be destined for landfill and create a three-course fine dining meal from the rescued, seasonal produce. The food is on a pay-as-you-feel basis which can be paid in cash or via PayPal on the night. There will be a bar serving drinks until 11pm. It is essential to register your place via the link below.

Wed 24 May, Commonplace Bus, Alexandra Park, Russell Street, Whalley Range, Manchester, M16 7JL, Two sittings: 5.30pm & 7.15pm, bar on site 5.30-11pm, pay as you feel, booking essential: www.eventbrite.co.uk
