Book now: immersive Frankenstein experience at Central Library

For fans of all things literary, gothic and immersive, Central Library’s immersive Frankenstein experience is a must-attend. Follow the ghost of Victor Frankenstein through a uniquely intimate setting – the bulk of the show is delivered through headphones, providing a haunting insight into the mind of Mary Shelley’s classic anti-hero as you explore the Library’s unseen corners. Featuring a soundscape by award-winning musician Tax Modi (whose CV includes work with Matthew Halsall and Submotion Orchestra), the piece retells the story of the over-ambitious Victorian scientist through a combination of theatre, music and installation. The production comes courtesy of Pure Expression, an immersive theatre company specialising in reimagining classic stories in unexpected environments. The company’s previous work has taken place in the Jewish Museum London, Westminster Reference Library, and the Grant Museum of Zoology. Tickets are £7, and there are six performances in total between Monday 12 and Thursday 15 March.
