Helen Mort at Gullivers (pictured)
Sheffield-born poet Helen Mort headlines this month’s Bad Language at Gullivers for our first pick of free things to do in Manchester this week. Bad Language is a long-running poetry and spoken word night that runs out of the Oldham Street pub, providing a space for established wordsmiths and amateur open-micers alike. Mort, who is also a lecturer at Manchester Writing School, has published two collections of her poems and has a debut novel on the way. This show is free with unreserved seating, so the organisers recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment.
