When two of Manchester’s hardest working and most loved musical collectives come together to put on a show you know you’re in for a treat, especially given that Comfortable On A Tightrope are a certified institution in the world of fuzzy pop in both promoter and label capacity, and Giant Hell are a diverse independent label headed up by members of Manchester alt-poppers Sex Hands, Irma Vep, Klaus Kinski and Dinner Party. Among the delicious morsels appearing at this all-day musical banquet are pop ‘n’ roll out of towners The Yawns, the much-raved-upon Queer’d Science, the shimmering surf of Zissou Society and the ‘warped blues’ of Dog Legs plus many more exciting appearances.
