Cloudwater open new, expanded brewtap at Piccadilly Trading Estate

Manchester’s award-laden superstar brewers, Cloudwater, may be one of the most internationally respected craft brewers around but that doesn’t mean they’ve taken their eye off their hometown. Having recently closed their brewtap on Sheffield Street, the brewers have opened a new tap room (ie. place to drink a brewery’s own beers – mostly – in a brewery-ish setting) next to the brewery at Unit 9 in Piccadilly Trading Estate. As well as housing 20 taps for new and aged beer, the venue offers a shop where you can buy beers direct from the cold store which is located directly beneath the tap room. More space than their previous venue means room to showcase the much-aped label artwork that the brewery has commissioned over the years while non-hop heads will be pleased about the local gins, low-intervention wine, and cold snacks on offer. Proper food is a future option too, but the real draw is the beer.
