Stranger things may have happened at a sci-fi conventions but we’d wager that they don’t come much stranger than Gaten Matarazzo’s rock band Work in Progress kicking things off with some Oasis covers. But then that’s exactly the plan for this weekend’s For the Love of Sci-Fi fest at Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Trafford Park as Stranger Things’ Dustin and his band make their Manchester debut at the event. There will also be appearances from the likes of Jesse Ventura (Predator, Running Man), Henry Thomas (E.T.) and the Incredible Hulk himself Lou Ferrigno over the weekend. Though it is uncomfirmed that they will be forming a Blur cover band.
