People’s History Museum is running 45 min, free tours on Valentine’s Day at 2pm and 6.30pm. The tours explore the stories behind some of the most radical romances outlined in the Museum and consider their place in history; were they kindred spirits working together for greater good, or star-crossed lovers? Lead by the Museum’s Programme Assistant John Donegan, each tour includes the story of Mary Wollstonecraft and Friedrich Engels, who fell in love with Irish immigrant Mary Burns in Manchester, and many more.
