Jordan Brookes and Glenn Moore | Tue 18 Jun | The Bread Shed | 7.30pm | £5/3
Two exciting new comedians with very different styles preview their latest Edinburgh offerings at XS Malarkey. Glenn Moore channels his awkward intellect into being one of the most prolific joke writers on the scene which has seen him appear on the likes of Mock the Week and Stand Up Central. Meanwhile Jordan Brookes channels his awkward intellect into self-flagellating body horror that never fails to shock and entertain.

Angela Barnes | Thu 20 Jun | The Lowry | 8pm | £12-14
Mock the Week regular Angela Barnes is back with a stand up show that seems almost impossible in these troubling times. Barnes is attempting to look on the bright side of life on her latest tour ‘Rose Tinted’. One of the winning comedians on the circuit, Barnes is sure to find something to be happy about and she’ll certainly be able to spread more than enough cheer around the room.

Neil Hamburger | Sun 23 Jun | The Bread Shed | 7.30pm | £15
Shambling and rambling throwback of a comedian Neil Hamburger performs his latest show ‘No One Loves a Hater’ as his only UK performance outside of London. Billed as ‘America’s Funnyman’ he is certainly the greatest anti-comedian in the US having come to prominence via the works of Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim. A parody of a parody of an insult comedian, this is one not for the faint of heart.
