Chorlton’s Dulcimer is a hotspot for exciting happenings, from regular live music to DJ sets to film screenings. Here we give you five of the killer events to get stuck in this week.
Come down to Dulcimer this Thursday for a free screening of This Changes Everything, an inspiring film about environmental projects and green resistance all around the world. Hosted by Manchester Climate Action – who are fundraising at this event – this is a chance to get some green motivation, meet likeminded peers to discuss ideas and help raise some funds for the important climate change activism done by the group.
Stick around after the screening of This Changes Everything upstairs to grab a pint and enjoy the selections of Stutter and Twitch, a local label and DJ gang. On their label they’ve recently put out 7” singles of new funk and soul with electronica and ambient remixes; expect a host of funk and soul classics from their DJ set.
Friday night is soundtracked by none other than DJ Guy ’Tightass’ Connor, a regular at Dulcimer with a keen ear for rock, blues, soul and funk.
To cap the week off, DJ Dunc takes us on a Saturday night odyssey through post-punk, new wave, pop and alternative 80s bangers. Kicks off at 9pm!
Wed 13 Nov - Sun 17 Nov, Dulcimer, 567 Wilbraham Road, Chorlton, Manchester, M21 0AE, Tel: 0161 860 6444
