For book’s sake: Elizabeth Gaskell’s House Second Hand Book Sale just in time for Christmas

There’s no better gift to give at Christmas than that of a good book and why not go for a well thumbed read at Elizabeth Gaskell’s Second Hand Book Sale. Taking place every 2nd Sunday of the month, this weekend’s collection falls just in time for Christmas and with prices that start at just a £1 for a paperback it’ll be cheaper than trawling the sellers on the high street and/or internet. Two rooms cramp packed full of second-hand books of all genres including a wide variety of fiction, art, gardening, photography, classics, OS maps, biographies, history, cookery, social history and children’s classics with new stock every month. All money raised from the sales of books goes towards running costs and ensuring the House stays open to the public.
