Get yourself down to Soup Kitchen for a rhythm-packed New Cult showcase presented by Heist or Hit. Modern Age Music present their #OnesToWatch this month – as part of four dates showcasing the bands they believe will be making waves in 2020. The second Manchester show takes place on Friday at YES (basement) with four great acts on the bill – Manchester punk trio Aerial Salad, Glasgow-natives SNASH, the fresh yet dark AriA and post punk indie from Saint Ivy!
Ethereal and enchanting – Cheshire singer/songwriter Megan Dixon-Hood headlines Gullivers in the Northern Quarter this week. As with her latest track – single The Wishing Tree, which was released in November – Megan takes her inspiration from the magical and the natural world around us with hauntingly beautiful vocals and stories from dark, enchanted woods. The Sunday Club is in session at the Rose & Monkey! What better way to round off the week than with a (FREE) relaxing evening of acoustic loveliness. Performances this week come from young singer/songwriter Luke Royalty, Britpop/indie rock inspired Ash Palmer, and Dolphin Centre’s Tom Braithwaite.
