Season three of nostalgic Netflix hit Stranger Things may have only recently come to a close but that isn’t stopping Manchester from getting into the spooky spirit of things this Summer. In late August, a currently-secret city centre location will be transformed into a Stranger Things themed bar, taking inspiration from the Upside Down shadowy netherworld featured within the hit young adult series. In addition to offering a selection of booze and cocktails, this immersive bar experience aims to transport visitors back in time to the 1980s with classic movies, arcade games and in-house DJs churning out the finest cheesy music that the decade of excess has to offer. Monster hunters will be equally pleased to discover that this pop-culture pop-up also comes complete with a dark mission to complete – however specific details on what exactly this entails are currently under wraps. Those brave enough to venture deep into the Upside Down can do so when it arrives in town from Thursday 20 until Sunday 23 August 2020. Tickets are currently on sale priced at £15 per person.
