Manchester Ceramics Collective will be opening their doors for a sample sale this Saturday, featuring offerings from residents of the studio. Plates Supper Club, a collaborative supper club between ceramics and food, will have all the plates from their summer supper club available at the sale – this is the perfect place to pick up a piece that could really brighten up your kitchen.
Futurists Hub are offering you the chance to learn the basics of 3D printing in this workshop at the University of Manchester. They”ll be explaining how 3D printing works, how the printer is programmed, and demonstrating with a real 3D printer. Rethink Rebuild are hosting a free screening of Blinded by the Light, Gurinder Chadha’s 2019 musical comedy. The film follows the experiences of Javed, the son of Pakistani immigrants living in Luton in the late 1980s, who finds solace in the music of Bruce Springsteen. There will be a discussion after the film giving the audience a chance to share their own experiences and viewpoints on immigration and ethnic minorities.

GRUB are bringing their East Asian food fair back for the second year in a row, taking place all weekend at the Redbank Project. A variety of vendors including Oh Mei Dumpling and Chou Choux patisserie will be serving up the most exciting East Asian fare – and on Sunday, all dishes will be 100% vegan! Local beers, wines and soft drinks will also be available all weekend.
