Tasty: Northern Quarter’s new sweet treat spot Gooey are selling New York style cookies & donuts for just £1

Forget the diet – The Northern Quarter’s latest sweet treat spot Gooey lands on Hilton Street on Thursday 12 March, serving up giant New York-style donuts and cookies for one-day only from 11am. Located within Wilson’s Coffee between Wilson’s Social and The Corner Boy, the cafe will have the sweet treats baked fresh on site every day, overseen by head baker Lewis Loughman, formerly of coffee shops PBK and Takk. As well as the classics such as raspberry, custard and vanilla, expect some out-there collaborations with Oldham Street’s cereal cafe Black Milk being lined up to help create the Kinder Bueno donut. Donuts and cookies will be £3.50 each and, after the launch, their donuts will be available for delivery later in the Spring. £1 treats will be available while stocks last, with a limit of 2 per person.
