Daedelus, Deptford Goth + co at Sounds from the Other City festival

For just shy of a decade Salford has been providing Manchester with its best music festival. Despite not actually being in Manchester. Every May Bank Holiday musicians from across the country descend upon the hatful of weird and wonderful venues dotted just over the River Irwell. Trash-O-Rama curate The Angel Centre and hand us Queer’d Science, Die Hexen and Divorce, as Underachievers inhabit The Crescent and present lots of ‘Girls’ of the Parenthetical, September and Post War Glamour variety as well as up and comers, Letters to Fiesta. St Philip’s Church has a plethora of talent playing as Now Wave use the holy acoustics to bring us Stealing Sheep, Great Waves and Deptford Goth (pictured), whose debut album, Life After Defo, is currently garnering rave reviews across the board. Providing you with 70 acts across 13 stages, as well as after parties at Islington Mill and The Old Pint Pot (provided by Wet Play and Faktion) you won’t find a better way to spend less than 20 quid on a Sunday in Salford.
