With more and more venues and events opening up after lockdown, there are plenty of free events in Manchester to choose from. We’ve rounded up the best free things to do in Manchester this week – but don’t worry, there are still some online events in there if you’re still shielding or staying in.
Free monthly yoga classes at Angel Meadow Park are finally back. Outdoor yoga is a great way to stretch out and start your day – all you need is a yoga mat. The 45-minute session takes place on Friday at 8am, so it’s perfect to fit in right before work.
Urmston Artisan Market returns, with social distancing and safety measures in place, so you can enjoy stalls from over 100 local and independent artisans. With food, drink, handmade craft and design stalls, and live music, this is a great way to support local traders and enjoy a fun Saturday outside.
During lockdown, HOME commissioned loads of artists and performers to create works from home, for an audience at home. Wait I’m From Wuhan is an online creative piece by Manchester-based playwright Naomi Sumner Chan, following a girl adopted from China who grew up in England, unable to ignore her birthplace as it’s now the name on everyone’s lips.
