The Northern Chamber Orchestra is set to bring the joys of live music back again, just in time for Christmas. The NCO is the oldest professional chamber ensemble in the North West and is lined up to enchant audiences as their director, leader and violinist Nicholas Ward leads them through Haydn’s fourth violin concerto. Combining a smooth sonata, a middle-movement that bounces from major and minor keys, and ending on a movement featuring galloping patterns used by Bach – it’s set to be a welcome return to classical music.
Taking place at the heritage centre in Macclesfield on Saturday 5 December, the NCO have put together a plan of performing twice in one evening, allowing 100 people into the 400-seater venue each time, meaning there will be plenty of legroom and space for social distancing. Seats will be allocated on-the-night to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.
If audiences wish to stay at home for the concert, the performance will be recorded and available to view for a week after the live show takes place, meaning that you won’t have to miss a thing. Tickets are £22 for stall seats, £20 for gallery seats and £15 to view online and are selling fast, so don’t miss your chance to see the Northern Chamber Orchestra in the flesh as they bring live music Bach.
