Despite having to remain closed to the public, the Northern Quarter’s Matt & Phred’s isn’t letting that stop them from bringing us some amazing music. Over the past few weeks, the much-loved jazz club has been busy teaming up with a great selection of bands and artists to film a series of exclusive sets right on their very stage. From old school jazz, 40’s swing and even 90’s Madchester classics – Matt & Phred’s Friday Night ‘Almost’ Live gives us a taste of those music-filled nights we’ve been really missing during lockdown.
Going live each Friday evening, expect high-quality recordings from bands such as The Chanteuse, The Gelatos and the Dave Luvin Quartet. Available to stream directly to your laptop, phone or smart TV, you can purchase tickets for individual gigs for just £7.95 with a whole 7 days to watch and enjoy each performance once it’s unlocked. There’s also an ‘Access All Areas’ ticket available for £29.95 which will give you the chance to view all gigs when they stream weekly, plus when re-released from 20-30 December. The cost of the tickets will go directly towards the bands, the sound engineer, production team and a bit for the club themselves.
