Manchester’s Scruff of the Neck resume their musical programming and this week’s line-up is a good ‘un. Monday 22 February evening sees live performances and interviews with The Blinders and The Outcharms, with Wednesday 24 February hosting DECO and Polly Money. Manchester International Festival’s online series Festival In My House.. continues this week with a piece from visually impaired artist Elizabeth Wainwright. This Thursday 25 February from 7pm – Playing Through The Looking Glass will be live on the MIF Youtube channel. Involving a series of online workshops on clowning, movement and theatre, the show aims to showcase talent within the visually impaired creative community. Link to the Youtube Channel below.
Manchester band Proletariat announce a return to this stage this week with a performance Live at The Festival Theatre in Hyde. Taking place this Friday 26 February, this will be the first time the band have played live together since calling it a day back in February 2019. The gig will be streamed through Guesthouse and virtual tickets are priced at just £7. One pound of every ticket sold will go directly to the venue. Manchester Camerata presents a virtual circle concert this Saturday 27 February. With Jess Gillam on saxophone, violinist and conductor Pekka Kuusisto and composer Daniel Kidane – All Time Is Eternally Present will go live in the early AM. Tickets are £10 and can be found in the link below.
