Scottish folk act The Pictish Trail will play a free show at The Jackalope in Chorlton on Thursday 6 June. The musical outlet for Johnny Lynch (pictured) – who also runs celebrated label Fence Records (King Creosote, James Yorkston, Rozi Plain) – The Pictish Trail will be joined by Greetings and Stefan Pope for the night, entitled Jangle Unchained. Opening the show will be samba outfit Juba Do Leao who will be performing in front of the bar in the sunshine (they hope) from 7pm. The Pictish Trail, meanwhile, are playing a live session on Marc Riley’s BBC 6music show from 7pm on Wednesday 5 June.
