Running across Tue 25 Oct-Wed 26 Oct and Thu 27 Oct-Fri 29 Oct respectively, Delicate and The Black Blues Brothers promise four days of jaw-dropping, high-octane and profoundly stirring choreography at The Lowry.

Beginning its back-to-back schedule on Tue 25 Oct, Delicate features four immensely talented performers in ‘A show about how things need to fall apart before they can fall into place’. Inviting the audience to experience ‘characters as they implode, assess the damage, and maybe rebuild themselves’, the Extraordinary Bodies team – a collaboration between Diverse City and Cirque Bijou – exhibit show-stopping strength and form as they express the universal angst of inescapable ageing, and the marks left on their bodies by life, against an audiovisual backdrop featuring fragments of film and audio which ‘mirror these marks in the wounds inflicted on our planet’.

On Thu 27 Oct, The Black Blues Brothers bring a blend of ‘balancing acts, fiery acrobatics, terrific tumbling and even human pyramids’ in a soulful and dynamic tribute to the beloved 80s movie, The Blues Brothers. Making their UK debut following an international sell-out tour, an audience with Pope Francis and an appearance at the 2020 Royal Variety Performance, The Black Blues Brothers arrive at the Lowry with an ‘energy-packed spectacle’ set to ‘the coolest soundtrack ever’.
