Chorlton Film Institute has announced the return of its pop-up cinema at St Clement’s Church.
The Guerrilla Cinema group is committed to making art house film accessible in and around Chorlton, running on a no-membership basis, inviting anyone and everyone to turn up and pay on the night.
After showing films for 13 years, the not-for-profit was forced into a 3-year hiatus due to the pandemic. However, the group are now back in the South Manchester suburb on the third Tuesday of every month.
After the screenings, viewers are invited to The Horse and Jockey Pub with the rest of the audience to discuss and dissect.
Next up in the cinema’s calendar on Tue 20 Jun is Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom. The visually stunning feature follows the story of a disillusioned teacher who is sent to a remote Himalayan school where he finds meaning in his life while teaching at the world’s most remote school.
