To celebrate the arrival of summer and sporadic city centre scorchers, Nell’s has launched two brand new summer specials guaranteed to delight plant-based pizza-lovers and satisfy the sweet-toothed until the first leaves begin to fall.

Alongside their usual array of NYC-inspired thin crust majesty, Nell’s hosts a season for the vegans with their new creation, You Szechsy Thing. Served in their standard 14″, 22″ and by-the-slice portions, the pizza features signature dough topped with a red tofu cream base, a generous helping of roasted tenderstem broccoli and mangetout, which is then fired in a carbon-neutral oven before a final round of spring onion, crispy onion and Nell’s’ own Szechuan chilli crisp. Bright yet earthy with a lively twang of Eastern Asian spice, You Szechy Thing is a flawless seasonal pizza for both vegans and meat-eaters in search of a lighter slice.

Crafted from the collective generational memory of a pre-Jamier Oliver childhood in the school lunch hall, the brand new Nell’s ice cream sandwich elevates a beloved sticky staple into a three-layer summer indulgence. The Nice Krispy Squares feature an outer shell of marshmallow rice puff squares mixed with sprinkles and white chocolate chip, and a filling made by blending Nell’s jam with Cheshire Ice Cream Farm’s finest to produce a soft raspberry ripple. This one contains gelatin, but there are vegetarian and vegan ice cream options available.
