After 10 years of bringing a community together and showcasing an endless array of talented makers and foodies, Levenshulme Market is taking a break.

Like so many, we were gutted to hear the news last month. The volunteer-led organisation cited a number of reasons for the difficult decision, from ongoing issues with the site license agreement to the knock-on effect of the pandemic. You can read a bit more about that here.

While obviously incredibly sad, the team have labelled this as a break rather than a goodbye, and a chance to take a step back and future-proof the market in the long term — fingers crossed it won’t be too long before we see them return permanently.

Before that though, there will be one more chance to head down to Levy Market, with the final instalment taking place this Sat 15 Jul, between 10am – 4pm.

In what promises to be a special, almost certainly emotional, afternoon, you’ll be able to enjoy delicious bites from the likes of Dumpling Lam, Bon Street Food, Samosa Guy, Gwafuvegan, Zp and Spicy Baby. There’ll also be the usual array of wonderful makers and creators to peruse and purchase.

Go give them the send-off they deserve.
