Manchester comedy of the week FT Rachel Fairburn, Simon Lomas and Jaws

Improv troupe Improquo tackles another masterful work of fiction as they take on Steven Spielberg’s classic blockbuster Jaws. As Drunk Classics USP goes, half of the performers will be drinking, as well as all of the audience. You may not remember a lot of the night (a free shot is included in the ticket price) but you’ll certainly have a good time as the team of improvisers make up what they can about a giant shark terrorising a small town.

Rachel Fairburn kicks off her biggest UK tour yet with her biggest solo gig yet, playing a hometown show at the Manchester Opera House this Saturday. ‘Showgirl’ is the straight talking Manc, and self-proclaimed People’s Princess™ is Fairburn at her acerbic best, taking swipes at all of life’s annoyances with a knowing smile and cheeky glint in her eye. She’s at the top of her game right now and worth going to see on the biggest stage possible.

Lay Down Comedy welcomes the non-more deadpan Simon Lomas, Canadian adopted Manc Jordan Ducharme and musical comic Alex Camp for a night of free laughs and some surprise guests.
