With the days getting longer and the weather warming up a notch, there are a whole host of cracking things to do around the city that won’t set you back a thing.
From open deck nights (with a free pizza promised) at Band on the Wall to a proper good print launch at The Whitworth – here’s our rundown for the best free things to do in Manchester this week…
Kick off your weekend with a full-evening affair at The Blues Kitchen soundtracked by all the best hip hop, afrobeats and RnB classics.
Attendees can expect old and new-school goodness from legends in their respective genres including the likes of Kendrick Lamar and J Hus all the way to Wizkid and Lauryn Hill.
The Working Class Movement Library is putting on a series of fantastic workshops geared around creating a peer support group for family, friends, colleagues and other community members who are supporting people who hear, see or sense things that others don’t.
Intended to be a mutually supportive space where people feel safe to ask questions and offer support to one another to create a strong supporter community, the workshop is all about sharing experiences and questions together as a group.
If you’ve not got your Saturday plans sorted yet then look no further than Band on the Wall, which will be hosting a cracking Open Deck daytime event.
Even better? If you’ve bought some new vinyl from a local record shop this week, just show your receipt at the bar to get yourself a free 9″ pizza.
Venture down to the Pop Up Gallery taking place at the Fairfield Social Club to bring your week to a nice and easy end.
Take a peruse at all the incredible offerings amongst the amazing and creative stalls – one of which includes Manchester-based jeweller, Areesha, selling rings from her debut ‘CORE COLLECTION’ alongside other established and emerging creatives.
