This Summer, WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre in Burscough has a brand new Code Breakers Trail puzzle activity for families to enjoy while experiencing the best of British nature, with a selection of thrilling prizes available to win every day.
Located in Burscough, an hour’s drive from the city, the Martin Mere Wetland Centre’s all-new family puzzle adventure invites visitors to hunt amongst the centre’s living collection, which includes flamingoes, cranes, otters and more, to find 18 clues and uncover the hidden message which leads to a prize puzzle book.
During the immersive, enchanting expedition, visitors to Martin Mere can enjoy the unrivalled wildlife with blooming nature and rare sightings as part of a memorable day out in the pristine Lancashire countryside, as well as the opportunity to take part in endless activities around the site.
Families with children of all ages can get up close to spellbinding patterned moths, delve into ponds to uncover underwater creatures, enjoy hours of play at the huge adventure playground, or gain a greater connection with nature in the Wild Walk.
There will also be the chance to attend a variety of talks and feeds, including otter and flamingo sessions and a series of introductions to mesmerising new species in the Weird or Wonderful aviary.
There is also chance to win a £50 gift shop voucher for one lucky family for completing and handing in their trail card.
Nick Brooks, Centre Manager at WWT, said: “We can’t wait to welcome families this summer for our brand new Summer Code Breakers event. This unique experience will challenge families whilst getting them out in the great outdoors, with the chance to get closer to wetland birds from around the world.”
