Astronaut Tim Peake invites audiences on a journey through the unknown at The Lowry

Astronaut Tim Peake is set to bring his hugely anticipated new show to The Lowry this autumn.

ASTRONAUTS: The Quest to Explore Space blends Peake’s unparalleled storytelling and personal experiences with extraordinary archive material and footage, bringing to life the awe-inspiring endeavours of these intergalactic explorers.

The show is the much-awaited follow-up to Peake’s debut sell-out show, My Journey to Space, which was met with widespread acclaim when it toured the UK a couple of years back.

From our first forays into the great unknown to the vast potential of future missions, Tim will recount stories from his own journey to space, and delve into several iconic and groundbreaking expeditions from the past.

Audiences can hear what spaceflight is really like, how it feels to live in weightlessness, the unique dangers of the industry and gain an insight into the years of training and gruelling psychological and physical pressures that astronauts face.
