The Northern final of the British Street Food Awards arrive in Manchester this weekend

The British Street Food Awards (BSFA), part of the world’s largest street food competition, is set to bring the best of Northern street food traders to Manchester this weekend.

Taking place at Freight Island across Sat 17 & Sun 18 Aug, 15 of the North’s most renowned street food names will set up shop in the venue, each serving a special menu of two staple dishes.

Each trader will offer a £6.50 taster dish, along with a more substantial main. Guests will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite vendor in The People’s Choice Award. A panel of judges will also be selecting the overall Northern Champion, with both categories to be announced on Sun 18 Aug.

The winner of BSFA’s Northern championship will advance to the UK final in London on Fri 13 Sep – Sun 15 Sep, competing for the prestigious British Street Food Awards Champion. The competition will then culminate at the European Street Food Awards grand final in Germany later this year.
