This year, the event will be broadcast live on the BBC, with runners of all ages and abilities pounding the tarmac in a 10k and half-marathon alongside famous faces like Gemma Atkinson, Tommy Fury, Peter Hook, Strictly’s Gorka Marquez and Corrie stars including Harriet Bibby, Elle Mulvaney and Jason Callender.

The day before the main stretch, 1500 young runners will take on a series of Junior Mini sessions at Sports City on the Saturday, started by stars of the TV show Gladiators.
